Guide to Agafay Desert, Morocco

If you’re looking for a desert escape near Marrakech, the Agafay Desert is the perfect choice. Over two unforgettable days, we traded bustling city life for the serene beauty of rocky plains and luxury glamping at Inara Camp. Here’s how it went:

Day 1: From Marrakech to Desert Agafay

We kicked off our adventure bright and early, leaving Fes behind on a train bound for Marrakech. From there, a quick transfer whisked us to the Agafay Desert

Agafay desert is a stark yet stunning landscape that feels like stepping into another world. By mid-afternoon, we arrived at Inara Camp, our luxurious retreat nestled in the heart of the desert.

The evening was pure magic. We tried pottery making (surprisingly fun!), befriended some chill camels, and wrapped up the night stargazing under a sky so clear it felt unreal.

The camp itself was incredible—think spacious tents with comfy beds and hot showers, blending rustic charm with modern comfort

Day 2: Exploring and Relaxing in Style

Waking up in the desert is something else entirely. The morning light painted the landscape in golden hues. After a delicious breakfast, we set out on a short hike to explore the area.

Afterward, we cooled off in Inara Camp’s gorgeous pool—a much-needed treat in the desert heat.

Before heading back to Marrakech, we soaked up every last moment of tranquility with a leisurely breakfast and some downtime at the camp. By late afternoon, we were back in the city, refreshed and filled with memories of an unforgettable desert adventure.
