Spring is back 🌸 The Keukenhof is opening its gate tomorrow. The world famous garden will be open from 21st March through 12th May, 2024. Based on our visit, sharing some of tips that may help you for your trip 😊

🌸 Plan Your Visit Early: Keukenhof is incredibly popular, especially during peak blooming seasons. Arrive early in the day to avoid the crowds and to capture the best light for photography.

🌸Download the Garden Map: Given the vastness of Keukenhof, it’s essential to download the garden map beforehand. Take time to plan which sections, art installations, and routes you want to cover.

🌸Book Parking in Advance: Parking can fill up quickly, particularly on weekends and holidays. Book your parking spot online in advance to secure a convenient spot and save time upon arrival. You can book the parking spot on the official website - https://keukenhof.nl/en/

🌸Purchase Tickets in Advance: Avoid long queues by purchasing your tickets online ahead of time. This will not only save you time but may also offer discounted rates compared to buying tickets at the gate.

🌸Check Blooming Schedule: Tulips have a relatively short blooming period, typically from late March to early May. Check the blooming schedule before your visit to ensure you catch the flowers at their peak.

And this was truly one of the best experiences of our life. While we were quite disheartened to not see northern lights, but on the last night the magic unfolded when we gazed at the northern lights and the stars from our cozy Igloo itself. A goosebump worthy experience ☺️☺️

Here are some fun facts about Neuschwanstein Castle:

1. The Neuschwanstein Castle served as the inspiration for Disney's Sleeping Beauty Castle. It's no wonder the castle looks like something out of a fairy tale

2. The castle was built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria in the 19th century. He was known as the "Fairy Tale King" and was a patron of composer Richard Wagner.

3. Surprisingly, the castle was never completed. King Ludwig II lived there for only 172 days before his mysterious death. The interior of the castle is as impressive as its exterior, with intricately designed rooms.

4. Despite its medieval appearance, Neuschwanstein was quite advanced for its time. It had central heating, flushing toilets, and an electric call-bell system.

5. It's one of the most visited castles in Europe, attracting over 1.3 million tourists annually. It's not hard to see why with its stunning location in the Bavarian Alps.

6. Neuschwanstein is perched on a hilltop overlooking the village of Hohenschwangau near Füssen in southwest Bavaria, Germany. The breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape make it even more magical.

7. Walt Disney himself visited the castle in 1955 before building Disneyland, further solidifying the castle's influence on Disney's iconic castles

8.Despite its fairy-tale appearance, Neuschwanstein Castle was never involved in any real battles or wars. It was constructed as a retreat for the reclusive King Ludwig II.

Our first Oktoberfest 🍺🍺🍺 Such an amazing experience 😀❤️ They feat is ending in few days and if you are planning to visit here are few rules that will make your visit awesome.

10 golden Oktoberfest rules

1. Leave everything at home that you don't need for the party!

2. Bags & backpacks brought along may have a maximum volume of 3 litres and may not exceed the following size: 20 x 15 x 10cm*.

3. Glass bottles, gas spray cans with harmful contents, corrosive or colouring substances or objects that can be used as cutting, thrusting or stabbing weapons are prohibited.

4. No prams are allowed on the festival grounds on Saturdays (all day) and every day from 6 p.m. on.

5. Bicycles, scooters, skateboards and the like are never allowed on the festival grounds.

6. No animals are allowed except assistance dogs!

7. Plan your arrival and departure in good time :)

8. Use all entrances to the Wiesn around the festival grounds.

9. Use the Oktoberfest-Barometer: it shows you when the time is right for a stroll through the Wiesn.

10. No staying is allowed between 01:30 and 09:00.

What else you should know....

"Wiesn" = Oktoberfest
CASH: at the Oktoberfest you can only pay with cash
Tipping is a matter of course
1 Maßbier = 1 litre of beer
Admission to the tents is free, but you should arrive as early as possible to get a place
Lyrics you should know by heart: Sweet Caroline and Angels by Robbie Williams
