    We landed in Marrakech, got into the cab, and the We landed in Marrakech, got into the cab, and the first thing our driver showed us was the beautiful Atlas Mountains. This wasn’t part of our itinerary, but when we saw the snow-capped mountains, we couldn’t resist. We booked our tour through Get Your Guide (highly recommend!), and it was the perfect escape. The drive itself was stunning, as the landscape gradually transformed from the flat plains around Marrakech to the rugged Atlas Mountains. .     Our first Diwali away from home 🪔 Who would ha Our first Diwali away from home 🪔 Who would have thought it would become one of our most memorable celebrations? 🤗 We embraced the festivities with such immense joy and happiness. This year was filled with some super special moments: An awesome Diwali party at home with many friends, delicious Indian food and sweets, and a surprise visit from a lovely friend with henna cones for mehendi. The highlight was Diwali pooja at home followed by a lively card party at a friend’s place. Who would have thought we’d feel at home away from home?     A day in Sintra 🏰🏰 It was a bright and sunny A day in Sintra 🏰🏰 It was a bright and sunny day, and I received soo many compliments for my yellow skirt that was the perfect match for Pena palace but not a very practical choice for Moorish caste 😛 If you are planning to visit Sintra, it is a full day affair and be ready to walk quite a bit. We packed some snacks and fruits for the Sintra day trip and it was very helpful as we avoided the long queues at the palace restaurants and never got hanngery 😇😄 More details are shared on the blog.
